Comments:

Another beautifully well-made Resident Evil game. Honestly, I enjoyed and loved so much about it that aside from a couple minor technical issues, I genuinely struggled to come up with any real cons.

What I loved most is the perfect balance between action and horror. The incredible audio engine and sound design actually managed to give me proper chills and dread during the horror sections. It successfully built tension and delivered genuine scares, while the action parts felt punchy, fun, and extremely satisfying.

There were so many great Leon moments — his puns, reactions, and that roughed-up tired version of him doing things previous games never let him do. Or in another words Leon was just tired to give any fuck anymore. Insanity difficulty is pretty crazy too. By the time I played it I already had infinite ammo unlocked, which helped a lot, still offered me challenge considering all the surprising and fun changes.

The only real issue I had was the very tight FoV, which I fixed with a mod. I also recommend using RenoDX for much better HDR.

The only reason I can’t give it a full 10/10 is that the story impact felt like it dropped off a bit in the second half. There was just something small that felt “off” — I can’t quite put my finger on it. If that tiny thing wasn’t there, this would easily be a perfect game for me.

🌟 Total score: 9/10 🌟Game status:
✅ Finished
