PROs:

✅ Hot nuns
✅ Pretty flashy and enjoyable combat
✅ Plenty of permanent buffs for new runs
✅ Can create powerful builds that melt bosses
✅ Character playstyles are fun enough

CONs:

❌ Boss hitboxes are finicky
❌ One character per save (no switching on one save)
❌ Lack of variety if you finish most of the game with one character then switch
❌ Gets repetitive fairly quickly
❌ All features „dip their toe“ without being much deeper

Comments:

Long story short, it’s a rogue-like with dodge-oriented combat and hot nuns. It’s a fun enough game for a few hours, though I recommend trying each character for an hour or so to see which play-style you like best. Then you can focus on one character in peace to unlock everything or achievement hunt.
I personally liked Sain the most, but I made the mistake of finishing the game with Preiya first, which made doing extra runs with other characters feel lackluster. I ended up farming the last achievements I was missing with Sain.
Characters:
· Preiya: Essentially a close-range melee reaper with plenty of mobility.
· Marie: An odd technomancer with a heavy focus on ranged combat.
· Sain: A mix of the two and my favorite; she has strong mid-range melee combat and fun skill play. She is essentially a spellblade.
Other than that, I feel like the artifact system should have been deeper or just not existed in the first place. They can be strong, but the system is so bare-bones that half the time I’d rather upgrade my skills than invest in artifacts. But hey, for Level 1 run challenges, they are a must.
In conclusion, it’s a “Hades-like” game that is extremely simple and offers sexy nuns. For a few bucks, it’s an okay enough game to enjoy for a few hours.

🌟 Total score: 6/10 🌟
