PROs:
✅ Anomaly list is useful for tips (although it functions as spoilers)
✅ Memory training game
✅ Comical „true endings“
CONs:
❌ Would be nice to have anomaly unlock notifications so you don’t have to navigate menus every time
❌ Lives system sucks… Give an option to loop back to the start on fail and skip the intro level
❌ Have to re-read and re-do the first stage of every level — very time consuming
❌ Bad looping OST options
❌ Low effort game overall
❌ Easy mode? — still don’t know what it actually does
❌ Not really a horror game, more like a „hidden object game“ with comical anomalies
❌ Clipping assets everywhere
❌ Messy translation (really hard to understand what’s going on in the story)
❌ Stage 3 and DLC completely change the genre to puzzle solvers
❌ Bad optimization
Comments:
I get the feeling this is more of a passion/self-expression project, especially with Stage 3 and the DLC. But it does its genre pretty badly.
The „story“ felt like it might as well not exist — just random creepypasta-generated nonsense with bad translation. Stage 3 and the DLC had a bit more direction and could understand somewhat. Not like stage 1 and 2.
The assets and anomalies feel like random stuff just tossed in. Lots of clipping, things looking out of place (I don’t mean as anomaly but as not fit into game style/world at all), and very low effort overall. Stock OST tracks, an Easy mode, which functionality I still don’t understand, and on top of that the game runs like a cryptominer.
I finished it purely for shit and giggles because I like playing weird short games, and it’s dirt cheap. Is it worth buying? Probably not — there are much more enjoyable games in this genre. Only pick it up if you’re bored and looking for random slop to try.
But hey, give me some fanservice and a low price and I’ll usually give a game a shot.
